Personal Banker (Utility Position)

We are currently seeking a Personal Banker.  This position will cover all branches. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years banking experience, preferably as a Personal Banker.

 

Essential Functions

  • Opens and processes new personal and business accounts, including DDA, savings and certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, debit cards, and other bank products.
  • Maintains existing accounts by researching and verifying account information and resolving problems for customers as necessary
  • Assists in the delivery of quality customer service through personal contact with customers and prospects, while adhering to company quality standards.
  • Answers phone and assists callers and/or transfers callers to appropriate personnel.
  • Quotes products and rates in effort to promote and inform customers of the Bank’s services and products.
  • Meets and greets customers.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Participates in various forms of business development.
  • Processes wire transfers.
  • Ensures that the appearance of the lobby and personnel are neat, organized, and in accordance with Bank policy.
  • Assists customers with safe deposit box services.
  • Assists other bank staff in helping customers as needed.
  • Works to meet existing branch performance standards in areas such as operating loss control, bank secrecy, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Works as Teller when needed adhering to the Bank’s teller standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist customers with entry into their safe deposit box.
  • Attends staff meetings as required.
  • Performs clerical tasks such as photocopying, typing, filling and mailing various bank correspondences.
  • Provides support to areas of the bank such as operations, loan operations, etc. as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Position requires 2 years banking experience, preferably as a Personal Banker.
  • Successful completion of Personal Banker training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Credit Analyst

Employee is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers.  Employee is also responsible for preparing reports and assisting loan officer(s) as needed.   

Essential Functions

  • Assists loan officers in performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
  • Assists loan officers in gathering data from customers, internal and external sources; prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns; contacts customers for additional information and clarification of data.
  • Compiles data from credit bureaus, conducts industry peer comparisons, and performs cash flow analyses and other such tasks and comparisons.
  • Writes credit memos, financial reviews and reports; makes recommendation on loan structures and terms to loan officers.
  • Informs loan officers when up-to-date financial statements are needed for new requests of existing borrowers.
  • Assists loan officers in the review and renewal of credit facilities; provides back-up support.
  • May represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank’s image and develop additional business.
  • Reinforces the application of superior customer service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Keeps abreast of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative events and climates which could have an impact on lending activities.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • High school diploma required.  Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred.  Will accept equivalent banking industry experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Position requires a person who has three to five years underwriting or financial analysis experience.
  • Two years banking experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of Credit Analyst training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Staff Accountant

Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, employee performs general ledger, bank account and other reconciliations for the bank and the holding company.  The employee will assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting.  The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for processing accounts payable and will be trained to serve in a backup role in deposit operations and some aspects of Human Resources including the processing of payroll and related reconciliations.

 
Essential Functions
  • Prepares all financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, which accurately reflect the financial condition of both the bank and the holding company. 
  • Responsible for all accounting activities including reconciling balance sheet accounts, income tax accounting, and month, quarter, and year end closing.
  • Ensures accounting procedures are in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
  • Completes all required bank and holding company regulatory reports, including, but not limited to, quarterly call reports, FRY-9, FRY-8, FR2900.
  • Presents regular reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, and other entities, as needed, regarding the financial position of the bank.
  • Coordinates external audit efforts.
  • Manages development of bank’s annual budget, in conjunction with Senior Management team.  Regularly analyzes bank performance compared to budget.  Provides detailed reports of that analysis to management and Board.
  • Provides analysis of account activities and bank operations on an as-needed basis.  Analyzes bank performance to pinpoint opportunities for increased efficiency and improved profitability.
  • Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable process.
  • Maintains familiarity with the laws and regulations governing the sale of the bank’s products and services.
  • Develops and implements bank’s plans and policies related to activities of a financial nature. Develops and implements new procedures for improved financial records maintenance and compilation of reports.
  • Provides guidance regarding the pricing of the bank’s financial products and services. Analyzes product and service profitability.  Evaluates new products and services for profitability.
  • Provides input regarding lease negotiation and capital purchases, as well as branch openings and closings.  Oversees fixed asset accounting system.
  • Liaison to regulatory agencies.
  • Works with external accountants for income tax planning and annual report preparation.
  • Manages bank’s cash position.  Determines bank’s cash investment strategies.  Monitors bank’s liquidity position and cash needs.
  • Manages bank’s investment portfolio.  Initiates sales, purchases of securities. Monitor quality, liquidity, profitability of investment portfolio in accordance with existing bank policies.
  • Develops and implements bank’s investment policy and liquidity plan balance risk, return, and liquidity needs.
  • Develops plan to support strategic objectives of the bank.
  • Provides direction on training activities and employee career development.
  • Serves as trustee of the bank’s 401k plan.
  • Supervises the Operations, Information Technology, and Human Resources departments of the bank.
