American Pride Bank Donates to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia

American Pride Bank is pleased to announce it has made a $750 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia.  During the month of June, American Pride Bank worked diligently to collect soda tabs on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia.  The Bank agreed to make a cash donation based on the number of aluminum soda and beverage can tabs collected.  With the help of in-bank promotions, American Pride Bank collected over 4,500 aluminum can tabs from customers and employees.   In addition to American Pride Bank employees collecting aluminum can tabs, they also made personal donations to this charity.

American Pride Bank elected to collect soda tabs because the tabs offer an additional benefit to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia.  A soda tab can be recycled as scrap aluminum and recycling facilities pay for the scrap aluminum.  Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia will recycle the tabs and earn additional funds based on the weight of the tabs.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia is located in Macon, Georgia and services all of middle Georgia.  The House provides a very affordable place to stay while children are being treated in one of middle Georgia’s area hospitals.  Often, the best care for the child is away from home and family.  The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia allows families to stay together during lengthy treatments and provides a home-like atmosphere where families can cope together.  Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia is a non-profit organization relying on the kindness of the community.  For more information, visit http://www.ronaldhousecga.org/.
